The sconces also turn on by a wall switch rather than fumbling in to the room to turn on the twist switch at the bottom of the light. The closet is also lit now, with a real light, not some battery operated tap light.
The sconces now work on a wall switch rather than the crappy X10 system that occasionally didn’t work. Also the closet is now lit. The crumbling exterior wall is patched. The walls were all sanded and any little cracks and plaster chips were filled.
Today. Paint!!! There will be a border so no need to go all the way to the ceiling. Hopefully I get the floors done in a week or so!
Today I made several self-watering containers using the Ups-A-Daisy. Here’s a tutorial on how I did it.
Insert an Ups-A-Daisy (from now on known as UAD) in to a container. UAD are available at garden centers or from their website. I ordered them online. These containers (from The Home Depot) are solid with no drainage hole, so no need to add a bowl to the base to hold the water.
Insert a 3/4” PVC tube. I bought these pre-cut at Home Depot because I was lazy and didn’t…
I saw this awesome tutorial on Iva Messy and had to make some decorator trim headbands. I picked some at JoAnn Fabrics tonight.
Now I am on the prowl for more decorator trims. But other than JoAnn, I am not sure who might have them other than online places. There is a decorator fabric store that’s supposed to be awesome out in Norwalk, but their site is down. I also found Schindler’s fabric on Lorain that looks promising. Never been there.
